Riga filmfest to host Iran’s ‘The Mask’

Iran’s ‘The Mask’ is to go on screen at the Riga Int’l Short filmfest in Latvia.

Iranian short flick ‘The Mask’ has been selected to go on screen at the Riga International Short Film Festival (2ANNAS) in Latvia.

The 6-minute film, directed by Saba Qasemi, will go on screen at the International Children's Short Film competition of Latvia fest.

“I don’t think the adults can see anything the right way from behind their masks,” a tagline of the film reads.

The cast list of the short flick includes Sarvin Sanati, Sima Sheybani, and Mirhossein Nounchi.

According to the official website of the 2ANNAS, it is the oldest short film event in the Baltic states.

The event aims to introduce modern ways of visual communication from around the globe.

A total of 2,300 films from all over the world were submitted to the festival this year.

The 2ANNAS takes place online this year, and the films will be available for free on the website of the festival.

The 2021 edition of the 2ANNAS is slated for April 9-15.
